Plot
Okay, so things are a little different here in the world of the undead. First off, Claudia is alive. Second, all of the vamps that died in all of Anne Rice's books are alive, as well. It will be a pretty basic plot, sub-plots included, of course. For any other information of the plot, click on one of the many links below.

P.S. All credits and ideas for this site go to Anne Rice, without whom, this site would have never been made. We love you, Anne!

Dawn would be approaching soon. Pandora knew it, and yet she could not bring herself to return to her resting place for the day, longing to stay out and wander the streets for just a few minutes more. The night's hunt had been meager; she had not had the will to find very many victims, despite the great number of candidates that had presented themselves to her. But she was satisfied enough, and as she stood silent on one of the many rooftops in the French quarter of New Orleans, she found herself captivated by the still-dim morning sky.

Go home, her logical side told her. Go home and sleep the day away and you can return tomorrow night. She knew it would probably be best to listen before she risked burning herself. And so, with a heavy sigh, she summoned the cloud gift to descend down froom the rooftop and into the darker streets of the city. This would buy her a bit of time; the streets were hidden still by shadows and kept her out of the rising sun for a few more minutes, and she took it as an excuse to wander in the time that it took for the sun to rise.

Few people were left in the streets at this time of night, she saw, other than the beggars and drunkards that inhabited them at all hours, and she could sense the other blood drinkers in the city that were far away, all returning to their coffins and hiding places as she would soon be doing. A thought came to her of the one that she could not sense, before she shook it off with a frown and continued her walk.

We're not getting older
They can chase forever
'Cause in the morning
there's a million names
just take one

Sitting on a rooftop, Rory glared at the not-risen sun. She had always hated sunrise, even in the Confederate times, when she still had a heart to beat. She sighed as the sun peaked a tad more above the horizon, and jumped into an abandoned alley way before she could get scorched without breaking her heels. She had lived here in her time as well, French all around. She'd loved the bakeries smell when she was younger, but now she despised it, being as is wasn't brick-oven made anymore. Oh how technology has changed. She never wanted to be an immortal. This life was chosen for her. She was alive and well. Her sire was a Yankee, of course, and had caused a reign of terror up north while the war was still raging.

She wasn't hungry, she felt full of mind and body after tonight's adventures. He was nice on the eyes. He didn't taste bad either. She had wanted a mate since she was reborn, but none had came quite up to par. She sighed as she worked her way back to her house, dodging rays of light on the way.

The first rays of light started to come down into the streets, causing Pandora to wince and pick up her pace significantly. Her dwelling was not particularly far away; use of the cloud gift was unnecessary, but nevertheless she was still concerned about getting back on time. She sensed another blood drinker - female, she thought - that was very close by, though she didn't see her until she turned the corner that took her to her house, but once she did, the girl became very apparent.

She was probably the only one out by now, walking alone in the street just as Pandora had been and probably trying to get home as well. She took a moment to scan through the girl's thoughts, though careful not to be too invasive. She found only simple musings, nothing that would interest her greatly since she did not know the girl personally. She broke the contact, satisfied that she would find no information that was valuable to her, and continued on her journey home, making a note that she should introduce herself sometime when it wouldn't run the risk of burning them both; assuming they both met again, of course.

She flinched away from another ray as her skin singed from sunlight. Damn, she thought, I'd give anything to be in my coffin right now. The alley was dark, but it wouldn't be for long. Jumping through the next alley barely making it, Rory gracefully landed on her feet like the cat she was. It was then she saw the woman vampire. She was older than herself, also running to safety. She raised her eyebrows as she felt her mind being invaded, and attempted to shove her out. How rude. She glared lightly at the other vampire "Rude, much?" she said very modernly before continuing her journey home. She had no time for rude old farts.

As brief as Pandora had attempted to be in her probing, it was now obvious to her that it had been to no avail; the younger woman had sensed her mind being broken into, and had even gone so far as to try blocking her out. She scoffed, rolled her eyes slightly and allowed a sour smile to spread across her face. "Oh yes, I suppose it was. Please allow me to apologize for thinking a mere fledgling could provide me with the information I seek."

And with that, she continued her journey home, fully reminded of the reasons she did not like to socialize. Dawn was approaching them faster than ever now, she reminded herself, and she simply could not afford to waste her time with these children. Her dwelling was only a few feet away, she noted as she glanced at the familiar landmarks and streetsigns, and she could soon return to her sleep.
