He has been known to wear it both loose and tied back with a simple black ribbon depending on his mood. His hair is soft and shiny and he keeps it well conditioned so that it stays soft. EYES ,Louis has very expressive green eyes. The old adage that the eyes are the window to the soul is never truer than with Louis. His eyes express every human emotion that he feels, fear, love, passion. His eyes grow cold when he feels anger and fury. They flash brightly when he is adamant about something. DISTINGUISHING FEATURES , Louis has a firm jaw and very plush lips that are very red and plush and kissable. He has a face that appears to be sculpted by a master sculptor. Loius is quite easily as beautiful as Armand frequently describes him. He appears hard and yet soft in turns depending on what human emotion he is feeling at the moment. To continue telling his story until someone in the human world listens. To one day play a role in the unification of the human and vampire worlds. SECRETS , he has compassion for humans and does not want to take their lives away He has lived the life of a vegetarian vampire PERSONALITY , Louis has a strong sense of guilt and is unable to forgive himself for any wrong doing he does. He is self-destructive, cynical and desperate. He had once longed for the release of death, but lacked the courage to commit suicide. He still occasionally longs for the release of death which shows in his nature and the way he speaks. He doesn't have a bright outlook on life or human nature for that matter. He is the only vampire who has held onto his humanity.
Louis loves his humanity and is unwilling to lose it for any purpose. He is also very unable to see eye to eye with his maker Lestat. He doesn't believe in what Lestat believes in. Louis is also allot calmer than Lestat and prefers to hunt alone in alleyways rather than stalking his victims. Louis has a tendency to be depressed and he doesn't let people into his head all that much. Louis prefers to keep to himself rather than socializing with other vampires.
Louis also feels that the world is his coffin and he doesn't belong on this planet anymore. If he had his way they would all be dead. Louis' cynical nature sometimes gets in the way of him having a relationship with people as does his depression. Off of a habit Louis tends to speak like he is from the eighteenth century rather than the twenty-first century. He has a hard time letting go of things and he tends to brood on things for hundreds of years later.
THINGS HAVE CHANGED f o r m e , a n d t h a t s o k a y MOTHER'S NAME , Anna Elizabeth De Pointe Du Lac (Deceased) MOTHER'S OCCUPATION , Homemaker FATHER'S NAME , Victor Louis de Pointe du Lac [Deceased] FATHER'S OCCUPATION , planter SIBLINGS , Younger Brother,Paul HISTORY , In 1791, Louis is 24 years old and is a wealthy sugar plantation owner. He is struggling to cope with the loss of his wife and child, not caring if he lives or dies. A vampire named Lestat de Lioncourt attacks him but also offers him a chance to be reborn.Lestat explains to Louis that he is giving Louis "the choice he never had". Louis decides to take him up on the offer and Lestat proceeds to transform him into a vampire. Lestat begins showing Louis how to live the life of a vampire: sleeping in coffins by day and preying on unsuspecting mortals by night. Louis is not comfortable bringing harm to humans, however, and opts for feeding on animals instead, defying all of Lestat's attempts to turn Louis to the vampire lifestyle. A despondent Louis finally succumbs and bites his faithful housemaid, killing her. He then burns down his estate, intending to perish in the flames, but Lestat rescues him and the two now-homeless vampires flee.
Renting a flat in New Orleans proper, the two continue to terrorize the public, with Louis still trying to refuse Lestat's ways. Louis eventually gives in to his bloodlust and bites a young girl, Claudia, who is mourning over her dead mother asking Louis to save her mother but instead bites Claudia. Lestat arrives at the scene and mocks him; Louis takes off, disgusted by his actions. Lestat later takes him to the girl, dying in a children's hospital, and Lestat transforms her into a child vampire "daughter" for himself and Louis, to prevent Louis from ever leaving him. Louis reluctantly accepts Claudia, but his scorn for Lestat grows.
Claudia, under Lestat, soon turns into a sadistic killer, frequently toying with her victims before killing them, all the while developing a strong bond with Louis as both a daughter and a lover. Thirty years pass and Claudia is left wondering why she is stuck in the body of an eternal child. Lestat explains that she can never grow up due to the effects of the transformation, which she hates him for. She asks Louis how she came to be and Louis takes her to the place where he bit her 30 years before. Outraged, Claudia expresses her hate for him too and runs away, leaving Louis by himself in tears. However, Claudia returns and forgives him for the deed, knowing that Lestat was really responsible for her condition. She wishes for herself and Louis to leave Lestat but Louis says Lestat would never allow it. With that in mind, Claudia tricks Lestat into drinking blood from two dead children. Weakened, she slashes his throat. She and Louis dump his body in a swamp but he later returns, having drained the energy from crocodiles and other swamp life to survive. He attacks the two but Louis sets him on fire and flees to Paris with Claudia, leaving Lestat for dead.
In Paris, Louis and Claudia live in perfect harmony but Louis is still bothered by the question of how vampires came to be. While walking the streets, he is finally met by a vampire called Armand ,who tells him that there are other vampires in Paris and tells him he knows the answers he has been searching for. Armand invites Louis and Claudia to his coven, the Theatre des Vampires, where they witness Armand and his coven dispatching of a terrified human woman before an unsuspecting human audience. Armand later takes them to his lair and offers Louis a place by his side, while secretly telling Claudia to leave him. Louis refuses to leave his beloved Claudia, however, and turns to leave. Armand warns him that his vampire coven knows about Lestat's murder and that it is forbidden for vampires to kill another vampire. Louis returns alone to Armand's lair, where Armand proceeds to reveal that Louis is a unique vampire in that he possesses a human soul and is connected to the "broken-hearted" spirit of the 19th Century. Louis becomes thoroughly smitten by Armand and resolves to leave Claudia at long last.
Returning to his residence, Louis finds that Claudia has brought home a human woman, Madeleine, with the intent that Louis turn her into a vampire to serve as a companion and protector before he leaves. Louis reluctantly gives in and transforms Madeleine, forcing Claudia to admit that they are now even and can part on good terms. Immediately after, however, the Parisian vampires burst in and abduct all three of them, imprisoning Louis in a metal coffin and locking Claudia and Madeleine into an airshaft with an open roof. The next morning, the rising sun floods the airshaft and Claudia and Madeleine are burnt to ashes. Armand frees Louis, who searches for Claudia and is horrified and grief-stricken when he comes across her ashen remains. Louis burned down the Theatre in a rage after Claudia's death and drifted through the world and time with the Theatre's leader, Armand, whom he loved. They separated very late in the 20th century in New Orleans.
In the early 1920s, Louis later claimed to have discovered Lestat in New Orleans, lost in a catatonic state. Louis turned his back on him in pity and disgust. (This may be a fabrication by Louis to lead Daniel to Lestat's haunt, on which Lestat remarks in his memoir, "Louis [...] had all but drawn a map and placed an X on the very spot in New Orleans where I slumbered [...] and what his intentions were, were not clear." Lestat also mentions, in The Tale of the Body Thief, that Louis "made up" this scene. In The Vampire Lestat, Lestat does not mention meeting Louis again in New Orleans before he undertook his long sleep.) Louis and Lestat were reunited at the end of the novel The Vampire Lestat in 1985 when Lestat was a rock superstar. In the events of The Queen Of The Damned, Louis and many other vampires came together at Maharet's house in the Sonoma Compound to fight against Akasha. Louis was one of the only vampires to refuse the powerful blood offered by Maharet and Lestat, preferring to gain strength with age. However at the end of Merrick, one of the Vampire Chronicles, Louis had put himself into the sun after making Merrick a vampire. Lestat, David Talbot, and Merrick then gave Louis some of their blood (Lestat and David's containing the power of some of the oldest and most powerful vampires in the world) to save Louis' life.

Quote: "Thank you. I apologize but I did not quite catch your name." Claudia replied softly, she wanted to make sure she had the right person before she just gave away the last item of Danny's that she had besides her photograph of him on the mantle. She sat on the white leather sofa, laying the parchment envelope wax seal side up, the seal had been made in the old style with Sealing wax, a candle and Danny's signet ring. She tucked her tiny feet under her and sighed.
"How I came to forks is a rather interesting story, I hope you do not mind long stories." She said softly, gazing at him. She could not help but feel calmed and safe in his presence. The sunlight shot through the nearby window setting her skin aglow like diamonds. "It begins just over two months ago, For two tears I had been working in New Orleans Louisiana as the head waitress at a Diner on the river called Leo's. The owner and manager of that diner was a man by the name of Daniel Michaels, but he insisted that I call him Danny. Soon after I began working there Danny and I realized that we were meant for each other and we fell in love. He used to lovingly call me the most tempting thing since chocolate."
Claudia wiped away the unbidden tears as she recounted her memories, taking a deep breath. "Two months ago we had a fight, because I wanted our relationship to be more and Danny said he could not do to me what would be required for us to be together." She wrapped her arms around herself, shivering as the memory of that night came flooding back. "I did not know then that Danny, being the last of his coven was under surveillance by the Volturi, nor that they were concerned about his relationship with me. That night, I was so hurt and angry about our argument that I walked out of the Diner, slamming the glass door behind me. I had no clue about the Volturi as I said, so I had no idea that I was in danger." She shook again with the fierceness of the memory.
"I had been in front of the diner sitting by the river for nearly an hour, I did not notice that anything was wrong because I was so wrapped up in my own thoughts and pain. A moment later or an eternity later, I'm not sure which, I felt my hair being lifted by what I thought at the time was a slight breeze, then I felt this incredible burning pain in my neck that spread through my entire body." She absently reached out and felt her neighbor's hand, somehow holding tight to hers, she looked up and saw a look of pain on his face.
She took another breath and continued. "After three days of pain, I awoke in Danny's apartment. He looked stranger than I had ever seen, like he was seeing the future, which was his gift. He told me that should anything happen to him, I was to come to Forks, here to the house he had built. He also said he had written a letter to his closest friend a Dr. Carlisle Cullen, and placed it in my purse. He said when I got to Forks that somehow Carlisle would find me and when he did, to give him the letter. That he would know what to do."
Claudia did not look up, but she did feel her neighbor's hand grow tighter in hers. "Nothing more was said about it until the night The Volturi murdered him." She shook again, her voice straining not to break as she choked out her story. He asked me if I still had the letter, He looked so odd. I asked him what he saw, when suddenly they broke the glass door in and dragged us both out, the guard that was holding me whispered into my ear that I smelled just as good as the night he bit me. I screamed and kicked, I bit at him but I was no match for him, he easily turned me around and made me watch as they ripped Danny up and burned him. Then for some reason the guard let me go, he said he would see me again soon enough." She shuddered.
She got quiet for a moment, all she heard was the sound of her own breathing and a pained emotional almost imperceptible growl from her neighbor. "I ran to my car, seeing that Danny had managed to pack everything up before the Volturi got to us, and I drove straight here. That was a week ago, now I am just waiting for his friend Carlisle so that I can give him this letter." She said softly, turning the letter over in her free hand so that he could see Carlisle's name scrawled on the front in Danny's handwriting |
